The main objective of the new development plan is the economic development of the country, through on the one hand providing incentives to companies in specific sectors to implement private investments, and on the other hand, accelerating the processes of integration and evaluation of investment plans<\/span><\/p><p><strong>REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In contrast to the previous 4399\/2016, the new development law establishes for the first time 13 thematic aid schemes, each of which concerns specific sectors of the economy. Particularly:<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital and technological transformation of businesses<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Green transition \u2013 Environmental upgrading of businesses\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Business<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regime of Just Developmental Transition<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research and applied innovation<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agri-food \u2013 primary production and processing of agricultural products \u2013 fisheries and aquaculture\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manufacturing \u2013 Supply chain\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business extroversion<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthening tourism investments<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alternative forms of tourism<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Big investments<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0European value chains<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Entrepreneurship 360\u00ba<\/span><\/li><\/ol><div>\u00a0<\/div><p><strong>TYPES OF AID<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The types of aid provided, although they differ according to the area of implementation, the size of the business, the eligible costs, are as follows:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tax exemption<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Subsidy<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leasing subsidy<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Subsidy of costs of employment created<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Venture funding for the scheme <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Business.<\/span><\/i><\/li><\/ul><div><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/div><p><strong>CHARACTER OF INITIAL INVESTMENT<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The investment plans should have the character of an initial investment and meet one of the following conditions:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create a new unit<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capacity expansion of an existing unit<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diversification of a unit&#039;s output into products or services that have never been produced in it<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fundamental change of the entire production process<\/span><\/span><p>\u00a0<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>MINIMUM HEIGHT OF INVESTMENT PLANS<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The minimum amount of the eligible cost of the investment project to be included in the aid regimes of the new Development Law is defined based on the size of the organization, namely:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">large companies \u2192 1,000,000 euros\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">medium enterprises \u2192 500,000 euros\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">small businesses \u2192 250,000 euros<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very small businesses \u2192 100,000 euros<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Cooperative Enterprises, Agricultural Cooperatives, Producer Groups, Producer Organizations, Urban Cooperatives, Agricultural Corporate Partnerships \u2192 50,000 euros<\/span><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><p><strong>MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF REINFORCEMENTS<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The maximum aid limits for regional investments are determined by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ependyseis.mindev.gov.gr\/uploads\/photos\/chpe.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Map of Regional Aids<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> These rates concern large companies, while they can be increased by 10% for medium-sized companies and by 20% for small companies for initial investments with eligible costs up to \u20ac50 million.<\/span><\/p><p><strong>FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each institution participates in the cost of the investment project either with own funds or with external financing (e.g. borrowing).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In
