With the aim of the digital modernization of Greek small and medium enterprises, the set of actions "Digital Transformation of SMEs" was pre-published in the NSRF Competitiveness Program 2021-2027. The three actions, with a total budget of 300 million euros, are divided into:

- Action 1: Basic Digital Transformation
It concerns businesses that have at least one (1) full closed management year and at least five (5) EME (Annual Work Units) of dependent work. 50% (60% for just transition areas) costs of digital office equipment, software and services are subsidized in order to cover key gaps and integrate important IT technologies into business operations. The total supported budget starts from 18,000 euros and goes up to 30,000 euros.

- Action 2: Advanced Digital Transformation
Beneficiaries are existing businesses that have at least nine (9) EME (Annual Work Units) of dependent labor and will submit investment plans with the character of initial investment. With the subsidy rate ranging from 25-50%, depending on the area where the investment will be made, the costs of equipment, applications, software and services are subsidized, with the aim of expanding the digital and technological maturity of businesses. The total supported budget starts from 50,000 euros and goes up to 650,000 euros.

- Action 3: Digital Edge Transformation
It concerns existing businesses with at least nine (9) EME (Annual Work Units) that aim to implement integrated investments in cutting-edge technologies or sophisticated digital systems of the 4th industrial revolution. Depending on the implementation area, the subsidy rate ranges from 25-50% and the total supported budget of the funding application is set from 200,001 euros up to 1,200,000 euros.
