The new set of actions of the NSRF, Green Transition for SMEs, was published, with a total budget of €700,000,000 and aimed at the modernization and energy upgrading of products and services of businesses.
The first action, Green Transformation of SMEs, grants small and medium enterprises with investment plans from €200,001 to €1,000,000. The percentage of the grant reaches up to 40% of the investment (special conditions stated in the invitation apply for the western sector of Athens, eastern and western Attica, Piraeus and the islands).
The percentage of the grant can be increased to 50% if green transition costs are carried out to a percentage of at least 20% of the approved budget of the company's investment plan.
Beneficiaries of Action 1 – Green Transformation of SMEs
Beneficiaries of the program are defined as all existing ones micro, small and medium enterprises that meet the following criteria:
- They have closed at least 1 full administrative use
- They are essentially active in an activity code (CA) or an activity code (CA) with the highest revenue as defined by the call
- They have the Eligible Activity Codes (EACs) as defined in the proposal
- They have at least 3 EME dependent work during the calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application
- They have not started work on the investment project in question before the submission of the funding application.
Eligible costs of Action 1 – Green Transformation of SMEs
For example, expenses are covered for:
– Buildings, facilities and surroundings
– Machinery – equipment
– Green transition equipment (Green category)
– Packaging design services – label – branding and promotion costs
– Consulting services and technical studies
– Means of transport (green transition, mandatory electric)
– Salaries of new employees
It is noted that the investment must be completed by the companies, if they are accepted into the program, within 24 months from the date of issuance of the Inclusion Decision.
The application process for Action 1 – Green Transformation of SMEs starts on Wednesday 22 March 2023 and will remain open until the budget, which amounts to €300,000,000, is used up.
