The announcement of the SME Digital Transformation package of actions was published, with the first action Basic Digital Transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises, setting as a subsidized budget, investment projects from €18,000 to €30,000 in order to purchase modern IT and communication technologies.
Eligible Costs of Action 1 – Key SME Digital Transformation
For example, the following are covered:

- Equipment Costs: office equipment, upgrading internal data transfer networks, interaction with employees, customers or suppliers, etc.

- Software Expenses: supply of business resource and process management applications (such as ERP, WMS, KPIs, etc.), image processing, CAD, digital security, customer and supply chain management, production optimization, etc.

- Expenses for Provision of Services related to the digital upgrade: consulting and technical support for the implementation of the investment plan, etc.
The above costs are eligible from the date of publication of the notice.
The total budget of the action is defined as the amount of €90,000,000 and specifically for the regions of Attica and South Aegean €19,800,000, while the remaining part of the budget (€70,200,000) will be distributed to the other regions of the territory.
The minimum investment plan budget amount is €18,000 and the maximum is €30,000, while the percentage of the aid varies from 50-60% depending on the region.
Beneficiaries of Action 1 – Basic Digital Transformation of SMEs
Beneficiaries are defined as existing very small, small and medium enterprises if:

- They are active for at least 1 year in one of the eligible KAD of the investment plan, as defined by the program guide.

- They have closed at least 1 full management year (12 months of operation).

- Have at least 3 FTEs of dependent work in the calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application.

- The physical object of the investment has not been completed or has not been fully implemented prior to the submission of the funding application.

- They are registered in the Register of Beneficial Beneficiaries
Important note: Businesses with the principal residence of the potential beneficiary as the place of investment are not accepted.
The application process for Action 1 – Basic Digital Transformation started on Thursday 23 February 2023 and according to the official announcement, it will remain open until the budget is exhausted.
